Hello! My name is Kelsi James and I am a QMHP trainee for adults and children. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Dance from George Mason University. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University with the goal of obtaining an LPC licensure.
I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, body image, eating disorders, anger management, life challenges, and barriers to interpersonal communication.
My therapeutic approach is a combination of Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, Solution-Focused, Existential, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I strive to create a safe, non judgemental, and inclusive environment where we can work collaboratively to create new possibilities for growth. Embarking on a journey for personal growth and healing can be intimidating. I am here to meet you where you are and to help you navigate any fears or barriers to achieving your goals. I am excited to work with you and support you on this journey!
